Most intense week in months! Weekly Action (44/2020)

Every week I document trades, dividends received and other changes to the portfolios.

Trades

Dividend Portfolio

I aim to buy dividend paying stocks each and every week of the year. I just love adding to my income stream and watch in real time how my income stream from dividends keeps increasing!

In this last week I have been buying like a mad man. I also sold out of a position..!

The week started out with my Swedish broker offering fee-free shopping on US stocks, which resulted in me buying:

Cisco Systems @ 37,62 USD, with a dividend yield of about 3,8 %

Coca-Cola Co @ 49,57 USD, with a dividend yield of about 3,3 %

Johnson & Johnson @ 143,43 USD, with a dividend yield of about 2,8 %

AT&T @ 27,23 USD, with a dividend yield of about of about 7,6 %

Omnicom Group @ 51,50 USD, with a dividend yield of about 5,0 %

China Telecom @ 32,50 USD, with a dividend yield of about 4,9 %

Realty Income @ 59,61 USD, with a dividend yield of about 4,7 %

STORE Capital @ 27,10 USD, with a dividend yield of about 5,3 %

Aflac Inc @ 36,68 USD, with a dividend yield of about 3,0 %

Raytheon Technologies @ 60,82 USD, with a dividend yield of about 3,1 %

Okay, so that was the first day of the week! For the rest of the week, I continued to buy and added to:

Raytheon Technologies @ 55 USD, with a dividend yield of about 3,4 %

Investor A @ 540 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 2,4 %

Castellum @ 187 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 3,4 %

Hufvudstaden A @ 114 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 3,4 %

Akelius Residential Property @ 1,54 EUR, with a dividend yield of about 6,5 %

Chevron Corp @ 67,48 USD, with a dividend yield of about 7,6 %

Pfizer @ 315 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 4,5 %

Essity B @ 262 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 2,3 %

AbbVie @ 85,50 USD, with a dividend yield of about 5,9 %

1 USD is about 9 SEK.

I also did the rare thing of selling out of a position. eWork Group had to go. The reasoning behind this is that it was such a small position in my portfolio that I feel it didn’t make a meaningful impact. Along with them cutting the dividend I felt my money will do better in another company.

Part of the money from that sale went into opening a new position in ASSA Abloy, which is the world leader in access solutions (locks etc.). I bought @ 190 SEK, with a dividend yield of about 2 %

Rocket Portfolio

I maintain about 10 % of my capital allocated to stocks in my growth portfolio  – the rockets! Rockets are awesome and go straight up!

Since I have much less capital in this portfolio, my buys are normally less frequent. This week was busy though!

I added to Angler Gaming @ 20,50 SEK; Fortnox @ 281 SEK; CellaVision @ 276 SEK; Swedencare @ 213 SEK; Paradox Interactive @ 275 SEK; Vitrolife @ 214 SEK; AqualisBraemar @ 5,65 NOK; Square Inc @ 160 USD; Vertex Pharmaceutical @ 207 USD; Mycronic @ 183 SEK; NIBE B @ 210 SEK and finally Swedish Orphan Biovitrum @ 152 SEK.

Dividends received

A normal month for me contains dividends coming in every week of the month. Small but juicy pay-checks landing in my account, without any effort required from me!

I track these weekly dividend based on percentage of my monthly expenses, because money is relative. To one reader, my actual amounts (normally in USD or SEK) in dividends would be a lot of money. To another reader, they would feel like nothing. For me, it makes a lot of sense to think about money in terms of how much one needs compared to how much one gets. When you receive dividends equal to 100 % or more of your expenses, you are financially free.

Dividend Portfolio

My Dividend Portfolio received dividends from Bank of Nova Scotia, TransAlta Renewables and Cibus Nordic Real Estate.

The dividend from Bank of Nova Scotia was about 0,7 % of my monthly expenses.

From Cibus Nordic Real Estate I received an amount equal to about 0,1 % of my monthly expenses. The same amount was received from TransAlta Renewables.

All in all not a great dividend week. Good thing I at least got to buy heavily!

Rocket Portfolio

My Rocket Portfolio did not receive any dividends.
